The Opportunity

Metro Testing + Engineering is hiring experienced materials testing technicians for our Prince Rupert office.  You will be part of a team of team of technicians to help our clients to ensure their materials met the specifications.  We are looking for technicians with experience in testing concrete and aggregate.

What you will be doing

• Travelling to job sites in the assigned territory
• Recording and reporting results
• Troubleshooting real time compliance issues in the field and monitoring non-compliance protocols
• Build relationships with site personnel to generate leads for new businesses

What you will get

• Pay range is $25-35/hr with extended benefits after 3 months
• PPE with an allowance for safety boots

• Over time work (usually between March and October)

What you will need to have

• Valid driver’s license
• Previous experience in testing concrete and aggregate
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to lift and control weights up to 23 kilos / 50 lbs.
• Civil Engineering education is an asset
• Good work ethics
