Mine Access Roads and Haul Roads

Our geotechnical engineering team can design roads both in and outside of the site itself. We ensure reliable performance for both paved and unpaved roads in consideration of expected traffic loads, soil conditions, drainage, maintenance requirements, and environmental factors including typical weather conditions. Design of MSE walls and slopes are also within our scope. Typical services we provide for road construction include: Geotechnical engineering & design, soils and aggregate testing, concrete and grout testing, and compaction.

Bulk Earthworks

Efficient earth moving is key to productive mining operations, ensuring the space is ready and appropriate for mining, structure construction, roads, containment ponds, and other needs across the site. We can provide geotechnical engineering guidance during this stage. With on-site materials testing supported by CCIL-compliant mobile laboratories, our technicians can perform real-time sampling and materials testing, including compaction, soils, and aggregates.

Structure Construction (Brownfield and Greenfield)

Materials testing is required for many aspects of construction to maintain the quality control and quality assurance of the materials used. Typical services we provide to structure construction include but are not limited to geotechnical engineering, concrete and grout testing, soils and aggregate testing, batch plant certifications and compaction.

Crusher Wall Construction, Grade Separations, MSE Walls, and Slopes

Retaining walls, engineered slopes, and more all need to be designed to withstand both natural and manually applied forces. To help prevent failures and keep the area safe during heavy load activities, we provide analysis and design support to ensure stability, durability, and performance. Materials testing support includes analysis of the proposed MSE or slope engineered backfill material to ensure compliance with the wall design. Services typically provided include geotechnical site assessment, wall or slope design, engineered backfill testing, retained and foundation soils analysis, and lift compaction.

Water Diversion Channels and Drainage

We provide environmental monitoring and compliance management during all phases of construction as well as continuing assessment during operations to minimize environmental impact and liability. Managing water movement from and through sites is essential to safe, clean operations. By understanding how water interacts with the landscape, we inform design decisions and mitigate risks such as flooding and erosion, supporting safer, more resilient operations.

Containment Ponds

The responsible management of waste materials at your mining operation is key to reducing the chance of wider contamination and non-compliant operations. Our environmental services help to ensure compliance during the construction of containment ponds.

Reclamation
