Who We are:
In addition to being one of the largest independent construction materials testing companies in BC, Metro Testing + Engineering also has an established Environmental Engineering branch. Our team is based our of our Burnaby office and focus on contaminated sites assessment and remediation.
What you will be doing:
- Providing leadership to a team of passionate and enthusiastic environmental engineers, environmental biologist, environmental scientist, and technician.
- Responsible for meeting the financial objectives and be profitable for the business unit
- Provide overall strategic directions and decisions to the business unity
- Work with other business units
- Managing provincial and/or federal contaminated sites assessments, site remediation, some risk assessments (human or ecological).
- Preparing and reviewing reports for due diligence investigations, and submissions to the BC Ministry of Environment & Climate Change Strategy for instruments (COC, AiP, Determination).
Who you are:
- 10 years of experience in providing environmental consulting
- University degree and Professional Designation as a Professional Engineer or Geoscientists (P.Eng. or P.Geol or P.Geo.). or Professional Agrologist (P.Ag)
- Contaminated Sites Approved Professional (CSAP) Designation will be an asset.
- Experienced in overseeing business operations and leading a team of employees.
- Experienced with business development
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Valid driver’s license
What we are offering:
- Salary range between $135K – 150K + bonus
