This is an on-site position, and our office is in Burnaby’s Cariboo area.  The position reports to the CEO.

 

Who We are

Metro Testing + Engineering Inc is one of the largest independent construction materials testing companies in BC and we also providing contaminated sites assessment and remediation services to out clients.

Our environment division consists of a group of dedicated engineers, biologists, scientists and technicians.  They helped clients with their monitoring and risk assessment needs.  We are very proud of their accomplishments over the years.

 

What you will be doing

• Providing leadership to a team of passionate and enthusiastic engineers, biologist, scientist, and technicians.
• Grow and expand the Environmental division in Burnaby with planned expansions to Fort St. John and Abbotsford in 2025/2026.
• Responsible for meeting the financial objectives and be profitable
• Collaborate with the business development team to develop and manage a client portfolio.
• Manage environmental projects, covering all aspects of planning, execution, and closure, with a focus on project planning & scheduling, status reporting, issue identification & resolution, risk management, change management, scope management, and budget tracking and forecasting.
• Preparing and reviewing reports for due diligence investigations, and submissions to the BC Ministry of Environment & Climate Change Strategy

Who you are

• An Environmental Engineering professional with experience in providing leadership to an Environmental Consulting business and consistently delivering projects on time and within budget
• Professional Designation as a Professional Engineer or Geoscientists (P.Eng. or P.Geol or P.Geo.). or Professional Agrologist (P.Ag)
• Contaminated Sites Approved Professional (CSAP) Designation will be an asset.
• Experienced in providing mentorship to engineers/EITs, scientists and technicians
• Experienced with developing and growing  business relationships with prospects and clients
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Valid driver’s license

 

 

What we are offering

• Salary range between $135K – 150K + bonus
