Materials Engineering
Materials engineering and materials testing are often done together to provide a more complete understanding of how construction materials behave under pre-defined conditions. We apply cost-effective scientific principles to determine if construction materials will meet design criteria. We may incorporate a combination of bench-scale testing, field instrument readings, field observations, and calculations to evaluate materials.
Our engineers are registered professionals in Canada who are supported by engineers-in-training (EITs) and technologists from various technical institutions in Canada and other countries. They have completed a wide range of public and private projects in civil infrastructure, transportation and highways, commercial/residential construction, mining, and energy. They are well known and respected in many industry organizations for providing sound technical input into projects.
Metro Testing + Engineering’s engineering team can provide practical solutions during the design process and materials selection in a variety of construction applications. Our engineers thrive on technical challenges and will work hard at providing a solution to a materials engineering problem wherever possible.
