Position Summary
The Receptionist serves as the primary point of contact for visitors and clients, responsible for maintaining a welcoming and professional environment. This role supports essential daily administrative functions and coordinates office operations, contributing to a smoothly functioning workplace and enabling the team to operate effectively.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Welcome and assist all visitors and clients, ensuring sign-ins and managing sample receiving.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls; manage general office email, mail, and organize incoming/outgoing courier services.
- Maintain office supplies, coffee station, and kitchen/restroom items; handle minor janitorial coordination and reorder supplies as needed.
- Assist with processing weekly credit card statements, submitting timecards, supporting invoicing, and vehicle tracking.
- Distribute dosimeters, organize annual evacuation drills, and assist with updating business licenses, emergency contact lists, and vehicle insurance records.
- Support office events, coordinate invitations for functions, distribute onboarding materials, and prepare workstations for new hires.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong communication skills, organizational ability, and attention to detail. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Prior experience in a receptionist or administrative role; experience in a professional service or testing environment is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in office administration is an asset.
Compensation and Benefits
- $23 per hour
